The Green Room
— Sustainable design, Vastrapur
The only firm in Ahmedabad that specifies reclaimed teak before Italian marble. The Green Room designs interiors that take seriously both the visual and the environmental, which — in 2026 — should be table stakes. In practice, it still makes them unusual.
Designer Priti Joshi sources materials locally where possible (Rajasthani stone, Kutchi textiles, Gujarati brass), specifies reclaimed wood over new for structural elements, and commissions local craftspeople for joinery and upholstery. The results look better than they sound, which is usually the worry with sustainable design.
Projects from ₹800/sq.ft. Consultation includes a materials sustainability audit. Particularly strong on residential bedroom and living spaces. The studio is small — three designers — which means Priti is personally involved on every project.
